Wilber National Bank - Downsville  NY

The Downsville Office of Wilber National Bank was established on August 22, 1905 as the First National Bank of Downsville (FNBD) with an initial capital of $25,000.  FNBD was first located at the site of the present day Downsville Fire Hall.  In the early days, the bank shared this location with the local opera house.  In 1949, a new building was erected at the Downsville Office’s current Main Street location, following a fire that destroyed the original building.  An addition to this new building was completed in 1983, which now houses the teller and customer service areas.

The Downsville Office became a part of Wilber National Bank on January 1, 1994 when FNBD was merged into Wilber.  As a result of this merger, Wilber National Bank effectively expanded its presence in Delaware County.  There are now four Wilber Bank offices in Delaware County (Sidney, Downsville, Delhi, Fleischmanns).   Wilber National Bank has a total of 18 offices serving customers in Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie, Chenango and Ulster counties.
